I've played billiards, snooker and pool for over fifty years, the better cue is the one you feel most comfortable with, take as much time as you can handling both and if if your choice is already between those two choose the one you feel is part of you.
As a boy my hero was Joe Davis who won the first ever world snooker championship in 1927 and never lost it and retired from the championship in 1946.
He bought his cue which was already an old one for 7s and 6d (37.5p) and used the same one for over fifty years, he was also world billiards champion.
